On 30 September, at the Florence Chamber of Commerce, Cartiere Carrara presented its 2025 Sustainability Report, during a morning dedicated not only to the company’s achievements, but also to some of the key challenges currently facing businesses: sustainability, energy and artificial intelligence.
Following an introduction by Stefano Pichi Sermolli and an institutional welcome from Giuseppe Salvini, Secretary General of the Florence Chamber of Commerce, Mario Carrara, Vice Chairman and Chief Growth Officer of Cartiere Carrara, set out the broader context for the company’s sustainability journey.
The discussion then continued with contributions from the event’s guests, bringing together different perspectives on the transformations affecting businesses and on the relationship between sustainability, competitiveness, energy and innovation.
Cristiano Dutto, Quality and Sustainability Director at Cartiere Carrara, then presented the 2025 Sustainability Report in greater detail, outlining the document and the progress made by the company over the year.
For 2025, Cartiere Carrara has once again chosen to continue reporting voluntarily in accordance with the ESRS standards. Among the main developments presented was the start of the preparatory work for the company’s Decarbonisation Plan, aimed at progressively identifying emissions pathways, targets and reduction measures.
The event therefore provided an opportunity both to present the work carried out in 2025 and to engage with guests and stakeholders on the changes shaping the environment in which businesses operate.
