Cartiere Carrara: Important Recognition at the “Obiettivo Zero” 2025 Awards
In 2025, Cartiere Carrara was once again recognized at the “Obiettivo Zero” awards, an initiative promoted by the Giuseppe Lazzareschi Foundation that honors companies in the paper industry for their concrete commitment to reducing workplace accidents.
The awards ceremony took place on Friday, May 24 in Porcari (LU), at the Palazzo di Vetro, headquarters of the Foundation. The prizes awarded refer to achievements made during the 2024 calendar year.
These recognitions represent an important acknowledgment of the daily efforts made in an area that remains a top priority for the company: workplace safety.
Awards received:
- Ferrania: awarded for the greatest reduction in injury frequency rate.
- Pratovecchio: awarded for achieving Zero Accidents over the course of the year.
- Carraia (via T. Nuvolari): received dual recognition for lowest frequency rate and greatest reduction in frequency rate.
- Arpino: awarded for the greatest reduction in frequency rate.
Cartiere Carrara also received the special “Più per Zero” award for a project focused on managing risks linked to pedestrian/forklift interactions. The initiative included structural and organizational improvements aimed at reducing risk in complex operational areas.
Caring for Safety
These awards are not a final destination, but part of a continuous journey. Investing in safety means acting on multiple levels: training, prevention, improving working environments, and listening to reports from those who operate daily in production sites.
Reducing accidents is a fundamental objective that requires shared commitment. The recognitions received confirm the effectiveness of the strategies implemented, while also reinforcing the responsibility to maintain a high level of vigilance with a practical, transparent, and ongoing approach.
A special thanks to Danila Fotia, Group HSE Manager at Cartiere Carrara, and her entire team for their professionalism, dedication, and continuous focus on health and safety in the workplace.
